Choosing a suitable domain name<\/a> is an important task when setting up a website or blog, it has been claimed.<\/p>\n

Writing for the Guardian, Andrea Wren suggested using a popular keyword in your company’s industry niche as part of its domain name.<\/p>\n

Desired domain names may not be available, but it is possible to work around single terms or phrases to develop memorable new web addresses, she noted.<\/p>\n

“When choosing, avoid hyphens in the domain<\/a> as they make it harder for people to remember your URL,” Ms Wren added.<\/p>\n

She suggested that in most cases, .com addresses are the most attractive to businesses, as they are easiest to remember.<\/p>\n

According to the latest Domain Name Industry Brief, the number of names registered worldwide rose to more than 215 million during the second quarter of the year.<\/p>\n
