SPOTLIGHT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

.SS, CO.SS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The South Sudan domain registry, ssNIC, recently announced a launch schedule for its top-level .SS extension along with CO.SS. Currently, the registry is only accepting registration applications from entities with corresponding trademarks (local or international) during the Sunrise phase. Additionally, the South Sudan sub-extensions of BIZ.SS, COM.SS, ME.SS, and NET.SS are also now supported for registration via CSC. All South Sudan extensions are unrestricted. No local presence is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

.CV<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Registry for Cabo Verde has decided to relax the rules of registration and make their domain extension available for anyone to register. They are positioning the domain extension to be used for career and jobs, as CV is the abbreviation for Curriculum Vitae. CSC already has the systems set up to register .CV domain names and can place orders now. Retail registrars have not set it up yet so this isn\u2019t available through those registrars at the moment, so we strongly suggest you defensively register this liberalized extension as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

.VE Top-Level Now Available<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Venezuelan domain registry, NIC.VE, recently announced the availability of top-level .VE domain registrations for the first time, with immediate effect. Currently, the registry is only accepting registration applications from corporate registrants who own a corresponding trademark on a first-come, first-served basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

.MY Globalization<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MYNIC has announced as part of their globalization\/liberalization program for the top level .MY TLD they will be opening the TLD to all foreign registrars from 13-Jun-2024. Included in this change MYNIC will perform an Early Access Period from 13-Jun-2024 to 19-Jun-2024 applicable to all registrars. During this period domain registration will only be available at a premium fee. Domain registrations can be performed prior to the Early Access Period at standard fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

biz.my, com.my, net.my and org.my are not included in the globalization program and will remain at standard pricing during the period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Identity Digital<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Identity Digital has announced they will be releasing a number of their premium domains 12-Jun-2024.  The bulk of this release is made up of valuable short (1, 2 & 3 character) domain names and generic terms across various Identity Digital TLDs. Most notably, the registry are releasing short character premium domains on .INFO, for the first time. On release, these premiums domains will be subject to claims for 90 days, in accordance with ICANN Rights Protection Mechanisms (RPMs) requirements, as these domains were not made previously available during Sunrise. Registrars will need to pass the claims notice to Registrants and the Claims ID to the Registry. EAP pricing schedule will apply. Please reach out to your Client Service Partner if you have interest in reviewing the list domains against your brands and securing any of the domains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

.AD Liberalization<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Andorra Telecom registry has announced that they are launching a liberalization program to release restrictions on .AD domains. Registrants who are not Andorran Public Institutions or Trademarks\/Trade name holders will now be able to register .AD domains. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
