According to Fast Company, registering a domain name is one of the first steps any company or individual must take when attempting to build an online brand.<\/p>\n

This then allows a website or blog to be created, upon which the organization can post information relevant to the goods or services they are providing.<\/p>\n

With an increasing number of people using the internet, and ecommerce worth hundreds of billions of dollars per year, it is becoming more important for businesses to trade over the internet.<\/p>\n

Once businesses have secured a domain name, they must take all necessary steps to protect them from the malicious activities of third parties.<\/p>\n

Ramon Ray, from Smallbiztechnology.com, told Business Insider that the majority of cases involving domains are solved outside of the court room through the Uniform Domain Name Resolution Policy (UDRP).<\/p>\n
