A number of parties are set to benefit greatly from the introduction of generic top level domain names<\/a> (gTLDs), it has been claimed.<\/p>\n

Writing for Business 2 Community, domain name lecturer Naseem Javed suggested that mobile and social media<\/a> culture will be two of the biggest winners from the new regime.<\/p>\n

The Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers is currently welcoming applications for gTLDs, and will continue to do so until April 12th 2012.<\/p>\n

Mr. Javed suggested that the “digitally armed, free-roaming nomads, thinkers and revolutionaries living off free Apps” will love generic domain names.<\/p>\n

Equally, those “high on ‘almost-free-deals’ options, and those who are “social chatting to death” will warmly welcome the launch of new domain names, he claimed.<\/p>\n

Likewise, the “new world of connected populous” claiming to be member of the ‘global social clubs’ are likely to embrace the internet naming changes.<\/p>\n
