Business leaders need to think long and hard when selecting a domain name<\/a> for their website, it has been claimed.<\/p>\n

According to the tech news site Geek Sugar, the domain<\/a> is important as it is how people will come to know and understand the business brand.<\/p>\n

As such, selecting a name is “an important step” in the overall branding process.<\/p>\n

“You may not have a clear idea of a name yet, so start a list and jot down ideas whenever inspiration strikes,” Geek Sugar urged.<\/p>\n

“Keep in mind that your name should be easy to remember and easy to spell, especially for search engine optimization and Google ranking purposes.”<\/p>\n

The news provider said that if a company name is hard to search or similar to another blog or business, it will be difficult for it to stand out and be found by consumers online.<\/p>\n
