{"id":3056,"date":"2013-02-01T16:10:04","date_gmt":"2013-02-01T21:10:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.domainandtrademark.com\/?p=3056"},"modified":"2019-08-09T08:54:58","modified_gmt":"2019-08-09T12:54:58","slug":"mclaren-reclaims-domain-through-udrp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cscdbs.com\/blog\/mclaren-reclaims-domain-through-udrp\/","title":{"rendered":"McLaren reclaims domain through UDRP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>McLaren Health Care Corporation has successfully claimed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cscglobal.com\/global\/web\/csc\/domain-name-management.html\">domain<\/a> McLaren.net after it filed a Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cscglobal.com\/global\/web\/csc\/domain-recovery.html\">UDRP<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The owner of the web address &#8211; who had initially said his last name was McLaren &#8211; failed to submit a formal response to the UDRP and so the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cscglobal.com\/global\/web\/csc\/domain-name-management.html\">domain name<\/a> will now be transferred across to the firm.<\/p>\n<p>It is a good idea for companies to register as many relevant extensions as possible, as this is the best way to ensure brand protection.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate UDRP, McLaren was unsuccessful in its attempts to get McLaren.biz, after the owner proved his surname was McLaren.<\/p>\n<p>This information would have been readily available from the WhoIs directory and highlights how common sense can sometimes be used to sort out issues such as these.<\/p>\n<p>The organisation is also hopeful of being able to claim ownership of mclarens.com and a further UDRP is currrently under consideration.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>McLaren Health Care Corporation has successfully claimed the domain McLaren.net after it filed a Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution (UDRP).
