{"id":3256,"date":"2013-04-09T12:13:19","date_gmt":"2013-04-09T16:13:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.domainandtrademark.com\/?p=3256"},"modified":"2019-08-09T08:49:36","modified_gmt":"2019-08-09T12:49:36","slug":"ford-applies-for-iluv-trademarks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cscdbs.com\/blog\/ford-applies-for-iluv-trademarks\/","title":{"rendered":"Ford applies for iLuv trademarks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ford Motor Company has attempted to register the term &#8216;inflatable light urban vehicle&#8217; (iLuv) by filing an application with the U.S. Patent and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cscglobal.com\/global\/web\/csc\/trademark-searching.html\">Trademark<\/a> Office.<\/p>\n<p>The company has also filed a separate application for the acronym &#8216;iLuv&#8217;, which it did on the same day in March, and said both the terms are intended to be used with cars.<\/p>\n<p>Car manufacturers like Ford and researchers are exploring ways to bring in small folding cars that can fit into smaller bays in parking lots &#8211; the type usually used for scooters.<\/p>\n<p>Ford could have trademarked the name to be used in conjunction with this type of model but the application does not have any bearing on when the new car will be released.
