The .ASIA registry has announced the upcoming release of one- and two- character domain names, scheduled to begin on July 30,2013, with a “Pioneer Domains Phase.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the Pioneer phase, interested registrants must submit a proposal explaining how they will use and promote the requested domain name. Subsequent launch phases will include Sunrise and Landrush phases, as well as a Public Auction phase for any names that remain after the other phases are completed.<\/p>\n

The registry also plans to release three- and four-character numeric domain names for public auction beginning in August.<\/p>\n
