CSC has been advised that CNNIC, the registry operator for .CN, has dispatched a fourth confirmation e-mail notice to registrants of .CN domains registered before December 14, 2009 who have yet to confirm that the current WHOIS information name is accurate, true and correct. \u00a0This notice differs from the one sent on Sunday, December 18th by CNNIC in that this notice contains the following language in red type:<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you did not finish the .cn Domain Name Information Confirmation process within 5 working days from when you receive this Email, we might take following effective measures gradually, such as DNS suspended or Domain Server Hold process. Then, the corresponded Internet Website and emails of such domain name may not be accessed. Whenever you finished the following Domain Name Information Confirmation process, we will unlock the above negative status within two hours.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

The e-mail would have come from the following e-mail address: REMINDER@CNNIC.CN<\/a>. \u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

CSC strongly recommends that clients who hold .CN names registered before December 14, 2009 review their e-mail inboxes and contact their network gateway administrator to ensure the e-mail from CNNIC that was dispatched today was not blocked by corporate and personal in-box filters. <\/span><\/strong>If you are uncertain if you have responded to all confirmation e-mails sent to you from CNNIC or not sure what e-mail address these notices are being sent to, please contact your CSC Customer Service Specialist immediately for assistance<\/span><\/strong>. <\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

If the information on the notice appears to be correct, there will be a link for you to click within the notice to confirm the information as accurate. \u00a0This is all you must do.\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

If there is information on the notice that is incorrect, you should immediately contact your CSC Client Service Specialist to request the information be updated.\u00a0 Once the information is updated with CNNIC, clients reporting updates will likely receive an additional confirmation e-mail where they can confirm accuracy of the new information provided.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n
