Madrid Hopes To Be Summer Destinations<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new geographic TLD plans to launch this summer, .madrid.\nIt begins its Sunrise phase on July 16, 2019, and runs through October 3rd<\/sup>,\n2019. This phase will not be first come, first served. Several Limited\nRegistration phases aimed towards local entities and local trademark holders\nwill run concurrently prior to General Availability opening on October 19,\n2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CSC will continue to provide updates on the rules and\nrequirements for the launch as information becomes available. If you have any\nquestions or interest in the TLD, please contact your Client Service Partner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zuerich Postpones Launch<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launch plans for .zuerich have been postponed. The TLD\nwas slated to begin a Sunrise launch phase on July 22, 2019. The new planned\ndate for launch is January 20, 2020. CSC will continue to monitor for launch\nupdates and communicate additional information as it becomes available. Please\ncontact your Client Service Partner for more information or to express\ninterest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More Time to Secure Your UK Domain<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After 3 years of rights\u2019 protections for existing 3rd<\/sup>\nlevel .uk domain (.co.uk, .org.uk, etc.) registrants, Nominet is preparing to\nrelease all unclaimed top-level .uk domains to the general public. The rights\nperiod was extended until June 25, 2019, to allow existing registrants more\ntime to secure the corresponding .uk domain. Remaining domains will be\navailable for registration to eligible registrars starting July 1, 2019,\naccording to an alphabetical release schedule. CSC will take part is the early\naccess. Each grouping of released domains will be available for 7 days before\nopening up to all registrars and the general public, starting July 8, 2019. If\nyou have not yet secured your top-level .uk domain, or are interested in\ndomains that had previously had rights\u2019 protections, please contact your Client\nService Partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
