Basketball star Chris Bosh has launched a trademark<\/a> infringement<\/a> case against the estranged mother of his child.<\/p>\n

The Miami Heat power forward is seeking damages and an injunction to block Allison Mathis and Shed Media from using his name and revealing details about his private life.<\/p>\n

Mathis has appeared in the VH1 show Basketball Wives<\/em>, which features individuals who have dated NBA stars as well as their actual spouses.<\/p>\n

In a California District Court filing, Bosh said the defendants were seeking to gain commercial advantage from the use of his trademark.<\/p>\n

He is arguing that consent was required for the use of his name, and also that the VH1 production gives the misleading impression that he personally authorized the broadcast material.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
