The Kuwait domain registry has announced the availability of top-level .KW domain registrations for the first time. This launch will take place between September 2024 and September 2025, beginning with a 6-month long Sunrise period. Applications during Sunrise will require a matching trademark and will be accepted on a first-come, first served basis. International trademarks are welcome, no local presence in Kuwait will be required.

The Reserve Bank of India is introducing ‘bank. in’ and ‘fin.in’ domains. The introduction of the exclusive Internet Domain, ‘.bank.in’ for banks, is intended to combat the increased instances of fraud in digital payments in India. This initiative is aimed at strengthening the cybersecurity framework and enhancing public confidence in digital banking and payment systems. All Domain Registrations of ‘.bank.in’ domains for banks will be possible through the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT), which has been authorized by National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI), under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), to serve as the exclusive registrar for this domain. All banks registered in India and operating in India are advised to contact the IDRBT to confirm whether they are required to transition to the .bank.in domain. Premium Names Changes:
.BO (Bolivia) 1 & 2 Character Domain Release
NIC Bolivia has announced that the registration for top-level .BO domains with fewer than three characters is now open to the public. These names will be released on a first come, first served basis. These one and two-character names will not have any additional restrictions or premium fees associated with their registration. Please contact your Customer Service Team if you would like to register a one or two-character .BO domain.
