Due to political unrest in Egypt, all Egyptian government agencies, including the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) which handles all domain name registration activity, are closed until further notice. As a result, CSC is unable to process any registration, renewal, transfer or modification requests for .EG domain names at this time. CSC is in daily communication with our partners in the Middle East region and is doing everything possible to have all paperwork and payments ready to submit once Egyptian government offices are re-opened.
For those clients who have been participating in the Sunrise launch of the Arabic version of the .EG domain name extension, CSC does not know whether additional Sunrise applications will be accepted by NTRA, the .EG registry, once government offices are re-opened and again operational.
