.CV Limited Registration Program.
OlaCV – the .CV registry operator – has announced a 6-month-long Limited Registration program that will allow trademarked brands to secure reserved .CV domains. Prior to the globalization of the .CV registration rules in 2024, OlaCV preemptively reserved .CV domains corresponding to globally recognized trademarks and brands. During this Limited Registration period, these trademarked brands will have the opportunity to acquire their recognizable .CV domains before they are released to the general public. As a corporate domain registrar, CSC has been designated as a verified mark agent. Please contact your Customer Service Team if you would like to secure your brand’s .CV domain name.
.BD top-level registration
The Bangladesh domain registry has announced the availability of top-level .BD domain registrations for the first time. The sunrise period will take place from 16 October 2025 for 90 days. Eligibility criteria during sunrise require a matching Bangladesh trademark or a trademark with Bangladeshi designation under the Madrid Protocol or a matching .com.bd domain string. .KW
The Kuwait domain registry has announced the availability of top-level .KW domain registrations for the first time. This launch will take place between September 2024 and September 2025, beginning with a 6-month long Sunrise period. Applications during Sunrise will require a matching trademark and will be accepted on a first-come, first served basis. International trademarks are welcome, no local presence in Kuwait will be required.
.BANK.IN
The Reserve Bank of India is introducing ‘bank. in’ and ‘fin.in’ domains. The introduction of the exclusive Internet Domain, ‘.bank.in’ for banks, is intended to combat the increased instances of fraud in digital payments in India. This initiative is aimed at strengthening the cybersecurity framework and enhancing public confidence in digital banking and payment systems. All Domain Registrations of ‘.bank.in’ domains for banks will be possible through the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT), which has been authorized by National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI), under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), to serve as the exclusive registrar for this domain. All banks registered in India and operating in India are advised to contact the IDRBT to confirm whether they are required to transition to the .bank.in domain.
